Oslo, the heart of Scandinavia

Oslo - the Capital of Norway - is situated in the heart of Scandinavia, surrounded by magnificent scenery from the fjords to the forested hills. Oslo is known for being a city of contrasts and multitude. Its beautiful natural surroundings, its varied architecture and sightseeing, and its multinational inhabitants contribute to the city’s unique atmosphere. In addition to its spectacular nature and fresh air, Oslo is the home of cultural giants like Edvard Munch, Gustav Vigeland, Thor Heyerdahl and Henrik Ibsen. Each of them has their own museum with their collections - for art or discoveries.

Oslo has a variety of restaurants, cafés and bars providing you with pleasant atmospheres to enjoy various cuisines and drinks. More importantly, end of May is a lovely time in Norway – the days are long, the sun “never” sets, the temperature is very pleasant and the city is teeming with life.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in our beautiful city, Oslo, for EMAC 2016.
